Why we Relay

Jenny & Noah

Noah and I relay for our moms. We relay for my kids. We relay so our friends and family never have to hear those horrible words..."you have cancer." We also relay because its fun! Doing something good..for others...feels amazing!

I relay for my mom and sister who have beaten cancer to this date.  I also relay for Kiss who also has beaten cancer. I relay for the friends on SL that I have lost to this disease these past years.
I relay because it brings a bunch of strangers together to fight one cause thats near and dear to their hearts.

Relay for Life to me, is very important in the fact that so many of us have lost or are gonna loose our loved ones to this terrible disease.  I myself lost a niece to cancer and my older sister is still after many many years not ok after loosing her youngest daughter.  I wish for a day when we can no longer have the fear or the worry of our loved ones getting cancer.

I relay because I like to help people and i have personally have had the disease touch loved ones in my life three times. An aunt passed away from a brain tumor wen i was little and then i have had another aunt and a grandma be survivors of breast cancer. Growing up seeing the repercussions of it and every step towards curing it for good is a step towards keeping others from experiencing the hurt it can cause not just the ones that have it, but also spare their loved ones from it as well.

I Relay because we come together as a family with a common purpose and that is to not only raise money and awareness in the hope of one day finding a cure but also to support those living with cancer in the present. I have seen how hard everyone works behind the scenes to put on the events that C4AC does and it makes me incredibly proud to be a  part of something bigger than my world.....plus its a LOT of fun

CFAC means FAMILY! Just like anything or anyone that attacks family, you fight back as a family, and that is what Camp does to cancer, we fight as a family ! Being a part of CFAC is one of the things we are most proud of.

Camping for a Cure for me means family, healing, love, care and work. But it's work that I want and like to do.  Because of the reason that we all do it.
I love this team, I feel blessed to be a part of it. Camping for a cure was built from love. And I do feel the love

I officially became a member of Team C4aC during Freedom Rock when i was hosting. Jenny says earlier but thats our lil arguement lol. I was Capt of my own team and wanted to wait until after Relay was over but even gave up sooner on my team of me.

What it means to me - it means a lot to me being with a bigger team. Alot of people from other teams offered for me to join them but Jenny early on seemed to support me and always answering my questions. Maybe i can help spread the word to more people by being with team, yes raising money is good too but knowlege is high up there as well..
